WPF Worlds meet training week 2 - Pressing

Bodyweight - 254

Incline -
barx45,20
135x15
185x5
225x4
275x3
315x2
365x1
405x1 PR (explained below)

315x14 PR

Side Laterals - 20's x 10, 40's x 10, 60's x 10
Pushdowns - stack + 25 x 15

Notes - I consider that a PR on incline at 405 because it has NEVER moved like that.  Ever.  If I had to guess I could have hit 445-450 tonight on incline.  It was faster tonight, by a significant margin than when I did 425.

The 315x14 was a straight rep PR.

  2. Hey, Paul. My gym has an old pullover machine like you always see Yates using in old photos and videos. I'm about to finish the 1st Big-15 cycle on LRB 365. Would it be an effective tool to use in the 2nd cycle, and if so which slots would it sub in? My initial thought was for rows on the 2nd pressing day, but I hate to NOT do rows, lol, and I actually wondered if I could sub it in for a movement on the arms or delts day as long as I keep the weight reasonable and really 'body-build' with it.

    1. Do em before rows, like Yates did. Like a pre-exhaust type thing.

    2. Thanks. It's always awesome to be advised to do more back work rather than less.
