Shoulders and Klokov PR

Bodyweight - 247

Let me preface this with the fact that I'm pretty pissed off in this video because some internet weaksauce dickwad said that the plates in my Klokov videos didn't seem to match the poundage I was claiming.  So in honor of said weaksauce dickwad, I did a double with 225 and then had my training partner come video the inside of the plates.

I've never had a reason to have my lifts doubted but there's always going to be some assholes who want to take the piss.  Be careful, you just might get it taken back.

Klokov Presses -
bar x 20
95x8,8
145x5,5
165x3,3
185x3
205x2
225x2 - PR

Upright Rows - 2x100 with bar

  1. That is for certain, some solid klokov press. Congrats on the PR!

  2. Well, you have such a long and storied history with lying about your weights, and its not like you have been lifting for decades or anything...

    Just to complete my nut swinging, you are looking BIG in these videos Paul. Must have gotten hold of some M&M's over the weekend.

    I started using 5x10 Klokov Presses as the assistance work in my 5/3/1 set up over the last few weeks(basically using this lift instead of the mil press a la Boring But Big).

    They really seem to hit the delts quite nicely, especially reps 8-10 in the later sets.

  4. Steven do the math idiot (frankly a fan of this blog Paul uses smaller plates to make sure he doesn't hit the ceiling).

    Bar=45
    4x25=100
    8x10=80
    Total=225

  5. Why would anybody even bother lying about what weights they're lifting on the internet? It's not as if you get any fucking prizes for being lifting champion of youtube.

    Like you've said before, in terms of overhead pressing 225 is a low weight for you, if you're gonna lie about your numbers surely you'd say this was a double at 315 or fuck it 700. The plates are made of broscience and weigh far more than they look.

    Retards.

    Solid double, though - nice one Paul!

  6. No doubt here about the poundages. I'm just surprised you didn't hit up a garage sale and snag more 45's. Having that many smaller plates on a bar drives me crazy.

    1. I have plenty of 45's. It's the height of the ceiling.

  7. Why would you lie about a 225 Klokov Press? You're a strong dude, but it's not like you're claiming some astronomical amount. Klokov toys with 100kg on these in a video, so for you to do 225 isn't at all outlandish.

    1. Why do people spend hours debating "butt tuck" on squats? Nothing better to do I suppose.

    2. Butt tuck is a serious problem plaguing our society, it's not a joking matter. How can someone squat more than 135 unless the eliminate their butt tuck?

    3. They can't. They will be stuck there forever, fearful of butt tuck.

  8. I think I see another Lifer chapter in the works. How to deal with internet trolls and their negativity. Great job Paul.......on the presses:)

  9. The series "So you think you can squat" on Elite FTS got all of these "butt wink" morons thinking they should be squatting a grand if they have perfect form... Another example of why the road to hell is paved with good intentions.

    1. I personally thought that series was shit. Too much geared lifting being taught when most guys will never put on a suit.

    2. It was such a letdown after the "so you think you can bench" series. Wow they took a 405 squatter to 455 by putting him on a high box. Fucking crazy.
