T-Nation Article

This article goes into more detail about what I have been preaching for a while.  If you want to get big, train like a bodybuilder, not like a powerlifter.  You don't get big and muscular training like a powerlifter especially in comparison to training like a bodybuilder.

I still can't believe there are people who argue with me about this.

  1. I read that article and I agree...I did this for a while as well, never got the size...not until DC style training and back off sets is where the gains kicked back up...I just started the DC two way split, hoping to gain some thickness!

    thanks

  2. Seems like a no brainer to me. Guys use to train like bbers in the off season if they wanted to go up a weight class. Not exactly rocket surgery. lol

  3. But still I like working up to 1 or maybe 2 heavy set 3-5rep and then do a back-off set 9-15rep...it might not be optimal but that one/two heavy set sure will satisfy my ego :D

  4. I don't think this is an issue. I think the issue is guys who spend the majority of their training focused on singles, doubles, and triples and never do high rep work with the big lifts.
