Notes - My low back, hips, and pretty much entire lower body was wrecked from that squat and pull session a few days ago.  I'm pretty concerned that I won't be recovered in time for what I need to do this upcoming week.  We'll see.  My low back and hips are pretty shot.

  1. When you say shot, is that shot in a muscular/DOMS sense, or shot in a ligament/tendon/joint sense?

    1. Just soreness and general fatigue. I will see how I'm feeling this week to decide what I will do with training.

  2. Do you think taking the triple at 550 was a bad idea now in retrospect?

    1. No. It's not unusual for me to get very crispy at this point in meet training. I only have two sessions left so it's just "that time".

  3. Although i'm in no position to give you any advice Paul but when i get like this i usually find a good red hot bath with 300 gramms of Epsom salts chucked in each day, followed by a good deep tissue massage with hard plastic pipe and a softball works wonders for this.
I initially got this advice from Jim Wendler and although its a pain in the ass to do,it really helps mate.

Deep tissue massage is very important for health. To keep the body in good health is a duty,
otherwise we shall not be able to keep our mind strong and clear.
