Blast from the past!

An old friend put this pic of me up on Facebook tonight.  That's what friends are for right?

Fucker.  I was 15 here.  My main thing was drinkin (obviously), playing music, and driving without a license.

Who knew this guy was in there?

I said all along I wasn't one of those guys that was 15 and already benching 300 and pulling 500.  Everything I have I've earned it the hardest fucking way possible.

  1. I think you were about 1 more Busch away from falling out of that chair. Some Funny shit right there! So, what was the catalyst that made you set down the beer and pick up a weight?

  2. I actually was lifting then. But what got me started was my martial arts teacher. I am supposed to write up an article about it to go on his website. I'm just behind.

  4. thanks pul! i am now motivated. i started at the other end of the spectrum. fatness. not morbid obesity, but fatness. i am not as awesome as you yet, but i am also one who seems to have to work twice as hard as the other guys to get half their gains. its helpful to me to see what CAN happen with hard work. really glad you posted this.

  9. Paul, got a question for an old article. The ultimate beastdom part 1, what ball park range should the succeeding percentages sets of 5 be in? I understand the last set should be a top set, but how intense are we looking at relative to a max? Hope this makes sense.

  10. John - I understand what you mean. The first few weeks just hit a nice solid set of 5 and add weight from there.

Matt - An 89 Conquest TSI. I was not much of a Camaro guy.

Anon - I actually do NOT have a mullet. If you look close I have the sides of my hair tucked.

Austin - Nothing on the back of the cheaper shirt. As I add stuff the price gets raised. I hate the fact that the one shirt is $35 but it's poly/cotton which is my fave type of shirt.
