  1. For me, the video title loaded before the thumbnail, so I thought "Wow, a 645x4 squat or deadlift is really good! Little did I know......"

  2. Sorry Paul for the off topic question, but I recently read here that you once ran 40 yards for one hour. may I ask you what kinda shoes do you wear on the conditioning runs / walks?

I commute by bike to and from work (10miles each way) and run fartlek style (alternate different speeds from jog to full out sprint) 2-3 times a week. is that sufficient in your opinion for complete conditioning?

    1. Brooks Cascadia. It's a trail running shoe. Love em.

  3. Wow just wow. Ranks as one of the most incredible things I've seen strength wise. Not just the weight, but the lack of gear, the range of motion and just the smoothness of the lifting.

  6. I don't know, I'm pretty confident that I could film that.

  7. There are two awesome things about this video:

    1. This is at a commercial gym. There are 1000s of big, strong dudes who train at commercial gyms while puny dweebs bitch about not being able to train at a hardcore PL gym.

    2. His setup and form is so simple.

Now he just needs to compete.

    1. Also, did ol boy spend a whole bunch of time psyching up in order to do this? Fuck no. Either the strength is there, or it's not. Doing all of that shit is worthless.

  8. Spoto is insane. 600 for 6 video is pretty out there too.

If only a video existed of Arcidi doing standing BTN presses with 315 for 10 reps...that'd be some crazy shit.

I actually feel that heavy weight being moved for reps is more impressive than crazy weight being moved for once. Not to say I don't respect, for instance, Mendelson's 715 bench. But seeing Spoto move 600 for 6 was just crazy.
Same goes for Kirk's 1000x2...just out there. Especially considering a lot of Coleman dickriders praise his 800x2...seeing Kirk do the same, weighing less and using much better form with 200lbs more...inspiring. Also makes you feel a little shitty about your own numbers but whatever.

    1. I thought Ronnie's 800x2 squats were shit, personally.

    1. He'll never out pull you, but he's the only guy on the planet that can probably do this right now. Maybe ever. Efferding did an interview a few weeks ago where he talked about the fact that he does 600x8 or 10 every week.

      That's alien like.

  10. I can't help but wonder what this dude can put overhead.

  11. Right before he lifted this I heard "That's my secret, Cap. I'm always angry."

    1. There was a vid of him doing 315 for a set of 6 or 8 strict. His form is always really impressive. His lifts are super clean. That's another that makes all of his lifts so great to watch. Very clean.

  12. It's also impressive (at least I heard so) that he does weighted pullups at about 290 pounds.
